- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience in distributed systems with understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience building automation, orchestration, or workflow management systems.
- Familiarity with Google's production environment and infrastructure.
- Ability to influence others through technical skills with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical goal, architecture, and long-term strategy for key areas within the Move Automation domain. Lead the design and evolution of highly scalable, reliable, and maintainable service migration systems, ensuring alignment with broader Capacity Management goals.
- Handle the most ambiguous and technically challenging problems in service move automation. Design and implement innovative solutions for distributed systems.
- Drive the execution of significant technical projects, from design through implementation, deployment, and operation. Ensure high-quality, timely delivery of features and system improvements.
- Engage in all aspects of software development. Contribute to and review designs, architectural decisions, and code. Implement core components and set examples for engineering excellence.
- Mentor and coach engineers on the team, helping to level up the team's technical capabilities in system design, coding, and best practices.
