Job Description


One Firefly is seeking a client-facing SEO Strategist to join our growing SEO team. This role is designed for an agency-experienced professional who enjoys owning client relationships, leading strategic conversations, and translating SEO performance into clear, business-aligned insights.

If you thrive in a multi-client environment, are comfortable leading calls and presenting recommendations, and prefer guiding strategy over hands-on technical execution, this role may be a strong fit.


This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the SEO Team Lead.


About the Role:

As an SEO Strategist at One Firefly, you will own SEO strategy and client communication for a portfolio of approximately 20–25 clients. You’ll serve as the strategic lead for each account: setting direction, reviewing work prepared by analysts, and helping clients understand how SEO supports visibility, lead generation, and long-term growth.


This role is intentionally strategy- and communication-forward. While a solid understanding of technical and on-site SEO is required, day-to-day execution is handled in collaboration with analysts and internal teams. Your primary responsibility is ensuring the strategy is sound, clearly communicated, and aligned to client goals.


This position is well-suited for someone who is polished on camera, organized, calm under pressure, and experienced navigating agency workflows and client expectations.


What You’ll Do:

  • Own SEO strategy and client communication across a portfolio of active accounts
  • Lead monthly client calls, Loom updates, and quarterly performance reviews
  • Translate SEO performance into clear insights, recommendations, and next steps tied to business outcomes
  • Guide strategy across local, technical, on-site, and off-site SEO, including visibility within AI-driven and LLM-powered search experiences
  • Review, refine, and approve analyst-prepared reports, audits, and recommendations
  • Support client onboarding and campaign launches through strategy and pre-launch review calls
  • Build and oversee content development and optimization roadmaps aligned to performance data and client goals
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, project managers, designers, and account managers to ensure timely execution and aligned expectations
  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends across multiple accounts
  • Use GA4, Google Search Console, and leading SEO platforms to inform strategic decisions
  • Leverage AI tools to improve clarity, efficiency, and quality of deliverables without over-engineering outputs

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3–5 years of SEO experience in a digital marketing agency environment
  • Prior experience managing multiple client accounts concurrently
  • Confidence leading client conversations, presentations, and performance reviews
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals across local, technical, on-site, and off-site disciplines
  • Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences
  • Working proficiency with GA4, Google Search Console, and common SEO platforms (e.g., SEMrush)
  • Comfort collaborating with analysts and reviewing work rather than executing all tasks personally
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and communication skills in a remote environment
  • Experience using AI tools (prompting, summarizing, refining) to improve productivity and clarity
