About MoCA Cognition
MoCA Cognition is the company behind the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), one of the world’s most widely used cognitive screening test, available in more than 100 languages and validated across multiple clinical populations. Building on this global legacy, MoCA Cognition is developing AI and non AI-assisted Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions, that enable standardized, digital cognitive assessments for healthcare professionals and research environments.
Our multidisciplinary team combines neuroscience, clinical research, artificial intelligence, and medical device software engineering and quality assurance and regulatory affairs to ensure compliance with IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, HIPAA, and FDA/Health Canada/MDR regulatory requirements.
Job Overview
We’re looking for a Software QA Developer with hands-on experience in developing automated testing using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Postman, and BrowserStack. You will contribute towards MoCA’s goal to produce reliable software solutions within regulated frameworks.
Your curiosity, desire for continuous learning, and self-improvement will play a key role in the success at MoCA. Reporting to the VP of Technology, you will collaborate with various teams ranging from software engineering, data science, regulatory, and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities
- Hands-On Development
- Contribute on development of software testing using automation tools to maximize test coverage. You’ll be helping with identifying the best test automation strategies and tooling.
- Create manual test cases and test plans using Xray (Jira plug-in) to address non-automatable tests scenarios.
- Develop test code that can be integrated to our deployment pipelines.
- Help identify gaps in our test strategy and develop a plan to mitigate risks.
- Team Collaboration
- Work with internal teams, conduct code reviews, and foster best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical deliverables.

Qualifications and Skills
- Must have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in QA for SaaS products. QA within a regulated industry is a bonus.
- Basic knowledge or understanding of modern software development methodologies.
- Some knowledge of .NET (C#), databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and modern front-end frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to question the status quo.
- Language requirements: Native or fluent in English (Written and Spoken). French is a bonus.
