The Role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new business acquisition and support the commercial growth of SynaptekX. This is a hunter-led, consultative sales role focused on winning net-new clients rather than account management.

You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, engaging senior decision-makers, and converting prospects into long-term clients. You will work closely with senior technical leaders to shape solutions that address customer challenges and deliver measurable value.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and convert new clients through outbound outreach, networking, partnerships, and market research
  • Own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and discovery through to proposal development and close
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline aligned to revenue targets
  • Understand customer challenges and position AI and cloud solutions as value-led business outcomes
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership on go-to-market messaging, campaigns, and positioning
  • Contribute to thought leadership, events, and partnership initiatives
  • Own a clear new-business revenue target and track performance using CRM tools
  • Present sales performance, market insights, and growth opportunities to senior leadership

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in business development or consultative B2B sales, preferably within technology, cloud, AI, or consulting
  • Proven success closing complex, high-value deals with mid-sized to enterprise organisations
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to sell value rather than features
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience using CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable operating in a fast-growing environment
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field is desirable but not essential
