As we scale our operations and team, we are seeking an experienced Senior HR professional who can take full ownership of the company’s human resource function, providing both strategic leadership and daily operational support in a remote working environment.
Role Overview
The Senior HR Officer / HR Manager will lead and manage all HR activities at Geetek Global (GABETE). This role requires a mature, confident, and highly organised HR professional who can independently run HR operations, advise management, and support staff performance and engagement daily.
You will serve as the central HR authority in the company, ensuring that people management practices support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and oversee the entire HR function of the company.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Advise management on workforce planning, organisational structure, and people development.
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to leadership.
Daily HR Operations
- Manage day-to-day HR activities and internal HR processes.
- Maintain employee records, contracts, and confidential documentation.
- Monitor attendance, leave, and staff compliance with company policies.
- Ensure effective onboarding and offboarding processes.
· Manage daily financial operations and records.
· Prepare and track budgets, expenses, and cash flow.
· Handle invoicing, payment tracking, and expense approvals.
· Prepare basic financial reports for management review.
· Ensure accurate bookkeeping and financial documentation.

· Support tax preparation and compliance requirements.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management
- Lead recruitment strategies for technical, creative, and administrative roles.
- Oversee hiring, interviews, onboarding, and staff placement.
- Build and manage a talent pipeline for current and future business needs.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Handle employee relations matter professionally and confidentially.
- Resolve workplace conflicts and manage disciplinary procedures when required.
- Promote a positive, productive, and accountable work culture.
- Design and implement employee engagement initiatives.
Performance Management & Development
- Design and manage performance evaluation systems.
- Track employee productivity and support performance improvement plans.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs.
- Advise management on financial planning and workforce costs.
- Provide insights to support business growth and decision-making.
- Support organisational planning and resource allocation.
HR Policies, Compliance & Governance
- Develop, review, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and Global HR best practices.
- Ensure ethical HR practices across all company operations.
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR and financial policies.
- Support ethical standards and governance across the company.
Payroll, Compensation & Reporting
- Oversee payroll preparation and HR-related financial reporting.
- Advise on salary structures, benefits, and incentives.
- Prepare HR reports and insights for management decision-making.

- Experience working in digital, tech, or remote organisations is a strong advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
