We’re on the lookout for a relationship-focused Business Development Manager to help grow our corporate partnerships and broader sales footprint.
This is a full-time, work-from-home role suited to someone who enjoys meaningful conversations, building trust, and creating long-term partnerships — not hard selling or ticking boxes.
You’ll work closely with our existing Course Advisor and share responsibility for supporting individual learner enquiries. That means having confident, consultative phone conversations, understanding people’s goals, and helping them find the right course pathway.
Alongside this, your primary focus will be growing our corporate and partnership relationships — identifying new opportunities, connecting with decision-makers, attending industry events, and nurturing partnerships that deliver ongoing value for everyone involved.
This role suits someone who is comfortable being hands-on, adaptable, and genuinely enjoys talking to people.
● Title: Business Development Manager (Corporate & Partnerships)
● Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week
● Location: 100% Work From Home (Australia)
● Remuneration: Salary plus commission on corporate and individual sales
● Reporting to: Sales & Marketing Team Leader

● Identifying and connecting with corporate organisations that align with Fortress Learning
● Generating leads through a mix of warm and cold outreach, LinkedIn, email, referrals and introductions
● Attending industry events, conferences and networking opportunities
● Following up thoughtfully and consistently with new contacts
● Building long-term partnerships that lead to repeat business
● Working alongside our Course Advisor to support individual enquiries
● Having inbound and outbound phone conversations with prospective students
● Understanding career goals and recommending suitable course pathways
● Guiding people through enrolment in a clear, supportive and consultative way
● Keeping accurate notes and activity records in our CRM
● Developing trusted relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
● Understanding organisational training needs and compliance drivers
● Creating tailored proposals and group training solutions
● Looking for ways to deepen relationships and expand accounts over time
● Managing the sales journey from first conversation to enrolment or agreement
● Keeping pipelines and forecasts up to date
● Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery
● Checking in post-delivery to gather feedback and identify future opportunities
