Director of Marketing & Communications

Digital Health & Regulated Healthcare Technology (Remote, US – ET/CT)


Our client is a high-growth, venture-backed healthcare technology company operating at the intersection of clinical care delivery, regulated technology, and data-driven health solutions.

With a growing international footprint across North America and Europe and significant institutional backing, the business is entering a key phase of commercial and organisational scale.


To support this next stage, they are appointing a Director of Marketing & Communications to lead global brand, narrative, and organic marketing across a multi-product healthcare platform serving both consumer and clinical stakeholders.


This is a pivotal leadership hire, reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, with ownership of brand and communications strategy at a global level. The role combines strategic direction with hands-on execution in an environment where clarity, speed, and credibility matter.


Brand Strategy & Narrative Leadership

  • Define and own the overarching brand, messaging, and positioning across multiple healthcare products and audiences.
  • Develop differentiated narratives for patients, clinicians, partners, and enterprise healthcare stakeholders.
  • Translate complex clinical, technical, and regulatory concepts into clear, credible, and compelling storytelling.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all brand touchpoints while allowing for nuance across product lines.


Content, Communications & Organic Growth

  • Own the organic marketing and communications strategy across owned channels including website, social, long-form content, email, and PR narratives.
  • Build and scale content engines from first principles, including thought leadership and executive-level storytelling.
  • Provide creative direction while remaining close to execution, leveraging modern tools and AI-enabled workflows to iterate quickly.
  • Partner with internal teams to support product launches, clinical narratives, partnerships, and reputation-building initiatives.


Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration

  • Work closely with Growth, Product, Clinical, Sales, and Performance Marketing teams to align messaging with go-to-market execution.
  • Support demand generation efforts through strong narrative and brand presence (without direct ownership of paid acquisition).
  • Contribute to executive-level discussions on positioning, market expansion, and long-term brand equity.
  • Support investor, partner, and external-facing communications as needed.


Experience

  • Proven experience in digital health, regulated healthcare technology, medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare SaaS.
  • Demonstrated ownership of brand and communications in environments where clinical credibility, regulatory awareness, and trust are critical.
  • Strong track record translating complex clinical or technical topics into clear messaging for diverse healthcare audiences.
  • Prior experience in venture-backed startups or scale-ups strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting multi-product or multi-market healthcare businesses is a plus.


Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong strategic and commercial mindset with an understanding of how brand supports growth.
  • Exceptional storytelling, editorial judgement, and narrative clarity.
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in resource-lean environments.
  • Confident working with clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with modern marketing platforms, content tools, and AI-enabled workflows.
