Job Description

As a Windows Systems Administrator, you will manage and secure Microsoft-based infrastructure, administer Active Directory and Windows Server environments, and design automation solutions using scripting or coding to improve system reliability, security, and operational efficiency.

Employment type: Indefinite term type contract

Shift: Day shift (approximately 8:00-9:00 AM to 5:00-6:00 PM), weekends off

Work setup: Work from home, Colombia

The Qualifications We Seek

• 2+ years of experience administering Windows domains and Active Directory
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Group Policy, DNS, and authentication mechanisms
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language: PowerShell (preferred), Python, C, or C++
• Experience writing scripts or programs to automate system administration tasks
• Solid understanding of security best practices in Windows environments
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Azure AD, Microsoft Entra, or hybrid environments
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• AZ-900 or AZ-104 certifications

Your Daily Tasks

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies across the domain
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed
• Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools using PowerShell, Python, or C/C++
• Automate routine administrative tasks such as provisioning, patching, reporting, and compliance checks
• Support endpoint management, updates, and system hardening initiatives
• Collaborate with IT, security, and development teams on infrastructure improvements
• Document system configurations, procedures, and automation workflows
• Participate in on-call duties or incident response rotations as required
