Job Description


Our Creative Agency client is seeking a Creative Director - Social. This role is fully remote, 40 hours/week, ongoing.

The social team is a new launch to the client's business and is growing rapidly! The Creative Director is someone who will be able to lead the team creatively as well as actively contribute in the day to day. Ideally, you have built and executed social-first work for major brands.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 
- Serve as the creative lead for social across existing client accounts, maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring creative alignment with brand and business goals
- Be actively hands-on in concepting, designing, and executing social content across platforms (static, motion, trend/reactive, platform-native formats, etc.)
- Establish the creative vision for social and inspire the team to deliver work at the highest level
- Oversee creative execution to ensure work is on strategy, on schedule, and reflects a consistently high creative standard
- Define project assignments and develop smart, effective creative solutions that respond to fast-moving client needs
- Stay current with platform trends, emerging technologies, and cultural moments to identify new creative opportunities and keep the social practice innovative and relevant
- Collaborate closely with strategists and account service teams to ensure projects move smoothly from concept through execution
- Understand project budgets and how staffing decisions affect timelines and profitability
- Partner with leadership and the Talent team to define hiring needs, support team transitions, and help scale the social team as demand grows
- Mentor, support, and develop team members skills, professional growth, and creative confidence
- Reinforce company values and help cultivate a strong, collaborative, social-first creative culture

WHO YOU ARE: 
- A seasoned creative leader with deep, hands-on experience in social media
- Equally comfortable setting creative vision and executing the work yourself
- Trusted by clients and teams alike, with the confidence and clarity to lead through change
- Passionate about shaping culture, pushing creative boundaries, and delivering innovative social solutions
- Comfortable working on small, agile teams where ownership and adaptability are key

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: 
- 5+ years of creative experience, with significant time spent working directly in social
- Demonstrated experience leading creative teams
- A portfolio showcasing social-first work for recognizable brands (platform-native content over traditional advertising or key art)
- Expert understanding of the creative process and social media ecosystems
- Strong knowledge of production across relevant disciplines
- Ability to clearly communicate creative concepts to internal teams and clients
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Strong awareness of current and emerging social trends and formats
