Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned CI/CD Engineer to drive USPS DevSecOps initiatives remotely. Must have 10+ years in software engineering, automation, containerization, and CI/CD pipeline development across cloud and on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, test, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for software development projects.

Develop automations and workflows using GitHub Actions to integrate components like Terraform, Trivy, Megalinter, and ServiceNow into full CI/CD pipelines.

Utilize GitHub, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and other CI/CD tools to develop and manage pipelines.

Design infrastructure patterns and deploy infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Ansible.

Lead the design and implementation of solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and on-premises systems.

Work with container registries such as Artifactory, GHCR, and CSP registries; support base container images.

Manage and support Kubernetes clusters, including AKS, GKE, EKS, ROSA, and Rancher.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand their requirements and design pipelines to meet those needs.

Advise on process improvement initiatives and IT requirements for all aspects of application CI/CD pipelines.

Automate security processes, including vulnerability scanning, testing, and monitoring.

Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline incidents, implement changes, and serve as an escalation resource for the Operations team.

Mentor and transfer knowledge to junior team members.

Document processes, procedures, and best practices.

Prioritize and schedule projects and tasks under the direction of USPS leadership.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

10+ years of software engineering experience.

Extensive experience with CI/CD tools, automation, cloud platforms, and containerization.

Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, and related DevOps tools.

Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and on-premises environments.

Proficient in managing Kubernetes clusters and container registries.

Experience in DevSecOps practices, including automating security testing and monitoring.

Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
