We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Data Analyst to join our team in the dynamic Energy industry. This position will offer the opportunity to work with a cross-functional team, providing meaningful insights to drive strategic decisions in our Oil and Gas operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data sets, developing models, and reporting key insights to stakeholders. This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Energy industry.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets related to the Oil and Gas industry, identifying trends, patterns, and insights that can drive strategic business decisions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain data models, ensuring their accuracy and relevance to business needs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Create and present detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, clearly communicating complex data in an understandable way.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy, conducting regular data audits and system checks.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, leveraging this knowledge to inform data analysis and strategy.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data systems and tools are up to date and functioning optimally.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data management policies and procedures.

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Proficient in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of the Oil and Gas industry, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Ability to travel to our Calgary HQ for our 2 week introductory training and to serving our client sites in Houston, Pittsburg, or Denver.
