Our client is a crypto exchange product company operating in a high-performance, security-critical financial environment. The platform handles real-time trading, order books, and event-driven systems where speed, reliability, and security are business-critical.

About the Role:

We are seeking a high-velocity, security-obsessed CTO to lead the technical evolution of our crypto exchange. This is not a "sit-back-and-delegate" role. We need a builder who thrives in a microservices environment, understands the high stakes of financial order books, and is ready to wear multiple hats to scale our platform. You will be the architect of our speed, the guardian of our security, and the driver of our technical vision.

The Tech Stack & Environment

• Backend: NodeJS, TypeScript, gRPC, Kafka
• Infrastructure: AWS, Microservices architecture
• Database: Postgres
• Crypto & Security experiences are a plus

Responsibilities:

• Own the Engine: Maintain and optimize our speed and reliability.
• Lead the Squad: Guide a lean, talented team (Team Lead, Senior Devs, DevOps, and QA) while remaining hands-on in the codebase.
• Security First: We don't just follow best practices, we set them.
• Scale the Product: Transition from a "startup" build to a robust, high-throughput financial institution.
• Business Alignment: Bridge the gap between complex technical debt and business goals. You need to understand how the exchange makes money to build the right tools.

Who You Are:

• The "Swiss Army Knife": You are a Senior-plus Engineer who can architect a system one hour and debug a Kafka lag the next.
• Crypto-Passionate: You don't need to be a Solidity dev, but you should understand liquidity, market making, basic blockchain and the nuances of digital assets.
• Goal-Oriented: You don't stop until the feature is live and the system is stable.
