A key focus of this role will be leveraging Looker to empower the organization with trusted, accessible, and actionable data.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building teams, setting technical direction, and partnering closely with executives and stakeholders across the business.

What You’ll Do

Team Leadership & Growth

  • Build and scale a high-performing organization across analytics, data engineering, and data science.
  • Establish best practices around analytics, modeling, experimentation, and visualization.

Strategy & Delivery

  • Partner with senior leaders to define analytics and data science strategy aligned to business goals.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities where data can improve operations, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Own delivery of end-to-end data initiatives—from discovery through execution and adoption.
  • Balance near-term business needs with longer-term platform and capability development.

Technical Oversight

  • Ensure data quality, governance, and reliability across reporting and models.
  • Drive adoption and best practices around Looker, ensuring dashboards and insights are scalable, trusted, and widely used.

  • Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights for executive audiences.
  • Influence business decisions through strong data storytelling and visualization, frequently delivered through Looker.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Economics, Engineering, or similar).
  • 4–7 years of experience in analytics, data science, or business intelligence.
  • 3–7 years of people management experience, including mentoring and developing data professionals.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python or R.
  • Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools; strong Looker experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working with senior leadership.

Preferred

  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL/ELT concepts.
  • Exposure to data governance, quality frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience integrating data from multiple business systems into a centralized analytics environment.

Why This Role

  • Opportunity to build and lead a growing data organization
  • High visibility and direct partnership with executive leadership
  • Significant ownership of analytics strategy and BI adoption
  • Competitive compensation, bonus potential, and strong benefits
  • Fully remote role with a collaborative, outcomes-driven culture
