Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.
Manage custom pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments.
Configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams).
Support and maintain custom dashboards and views tailored for different stakeholders.
Maintain security posture of the application, including RBAC, SNMPv3, and audit logging.
Perform application-level tuning, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
Design and optimize complex SWQL and SQL queries to support reports, dashboards, and alert tuning.
Work closely with infrastructure and application teams to ensure effective coverage, KPIs, SLAs, and alert hygiene.
Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis, leveraging SolarWinds logs and metrics.
Contribute to and maintain Kanban board tasks and documentation related to SolarWinds projects and issues.

  • The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, and the ability to partner with network, security, and operations teams to deliver actionable insights and proactive monitoring at scale.
  • Administer and maintain the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.
  • Manage custom pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments.
  • Configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams).
  • Support and maintain custom dashboards and views tailored for different stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform application-level tuning, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
  • Design and optimize complex SWQL and SQL queries to support reports, dashboards, and alert tuning.
  • Work closely with infrastructure and application teams to ensure effective coverage, KPIs, SLAs, and alert hygiene.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing SolarWinds environments (Orion Platform 2020.2.6 or newer).
  • Advanced SQL Server knowledge, including query optimization, performance tuning, and CTEs.
  • Familiarity with network topology mapping, NetPath, and NetFlow analysis.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server, IIS, and system-level diagnostics.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams and technical stakeholders.
  • SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP) or similar certification.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell for minor automation tasks related to configuration
  • Exposure to ServiceNow integrations, REST APIs, and webhook configuration.



Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience with Orion SDK, SWQL Studio, and SolarWinds API integrations.
  • Expertise in SNMP, WMI, ICMP, and agent-based data collection mechanisms.
  • Experience in large-scale monitoring environments (>1000 nodes).
  • Comfortable working in Kanban/Agile environments with tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
