Job Description
Title: Principal Product Manager
Reports to: EVP, Product and Payment
Location: This is a remote role or Hybrid from our Buffalo office
About the role:
InsurePay is seeking a Principal Product Manager to own our flagship product lines end-to-end. You will set AI-powered product strategy, lead cross-functional execution, and deliver measurable business outcomes across our platform.
In this new era, product management at InsurePay is evolving into a more technical, creative, and empowered role focused on teaching AI what matters. If you are someone who can help take InsurePay from traditional to AI-driven, this role is for you.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will …
- “Vibe code” and rapidly prototype by using tools like Cursor, Replit, or Vercel to turn concepts into high-fidelity working demos quickly, bypassing slow traditional development cycles for early validation.
- Define AI forward product strategy by using AI to analyze user data, support tickets, and market trends to uncover new, previously impossible opportunities.
- Define intent and behavior, shifting from rigid, manual requirements to articulate the behavioral and emotional outcomes (the “vibe”) the system should exhibit.
- Design AI-in-the-loop workflows by mapping where AI can take over, summarize, or decide on product processes (for example: automated user research synthesis or generating initial design mockups).
- Own model evaluation (evals) by creating test sets to measure model accuracy, hallucinations, and bias before and after launch, and using those insights to inform iteration.
- Drive cross-functional execution alongside Engineering, Design, Data, and Go-to-Market teams to ship features that meaningfully move business and customer metrics.
- Measure and communicate impact through clear success metrics, experimentation, and storytelling that ties product outcomes to business strategy.

We’re excited about you because you bring …
- Prompt crafting and engineering skills, including the ability to write effective, structured prompts that guide AI agents to produce high-quality code, documentation, and analysis.
- Data and AI fluency, with a strong understanding of how models learn from data, how to identify data bottlenecks, and how to evaluate model performance (for example: F1 score, latency, and other key metrics).
- “Vibe” debugging and validation skills: you can test and refine AI-generated code and experiences, ensuring prototypes actually work (not just look right), while managing security, reliability, and compliance risks.
- Storytelling and strategic judgment, leaning into high-level strategy, human empathy, and stakeholder influence as more tactical work becomes automated.
- An iterative and experimental mindset, embracing that AI models and AI-first products require continuous training, monitoring, and updates—not “one and done” launches.
- A tool-first, scrappy approach, treating new AI tools like a playground to reduce cycle time, increase velocity, and unblock yourself and your teams.
- Deep ownership of the “why”—you hold the product vision, customer value, and business alignment, while AI increasingly helps with the “how” and “what.”
