Position Overview

Our Fortune 500 client located in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong experience supporting Distributed Energy Services (DES) and complex enterprise workflow and case management platforms. This role will work closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, and partner with architects, developers, and QA teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and customer-focused solutions.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with CPMS, PowerClerk, Project Center, Salesforce, Pega Cloud, and Microsoft Power Platform, along with a strong ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and support solutions through UAT, release, and go-live.

Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements & Analysis
  • Lead enterprise requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and RTMs.

  • Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders to translate business needs into system and workflow requirements.

  • Analyze existing applications and workflows to diagnose functional issues, support troubleshooting, and recommend solutions.

Workflow & Case Management
  • Work with technical teams to define Pega case types, workflows, business rules, integrations, and UI requirements.

  • Support implementations across CPMS, PowerClerk, Project Center, Salesforce, and Pega Cloud.

  • Ensure workflow designs align with business processes, regulatory requirements, and customer experience goals.

Process Modeling & Documentation
  • Create process flows, data maps, wireframes, and interface specifications using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Miro.

  • Produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation including SDDs, SOPs, user guides, and traceability matrices.

  • Maintain documentation to support audits, operational readiness, and long-term system support.

Testing, UAT & Release Support
  • Support UAT planning, test case validation, defect triage, and go-live readiness.

  • Participate in release activities, including release nights and post-deployment validation.

  • Collaborate with QA teams on test execution, defect management, and resolution tracking.

Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Perform data analysis using SQL, Excel (Power Query / Pivot) to validate requirements, reporting outputs, and system behavior.

  • Support reporting and dashboard requirements, including validation of data accuracy and completeness.

Agile Collaboration
  • Participate in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.

  • Track work and dependencies using Jira or Azure DevOps.

Required Qualifications (Must Have)
  • 3+ years of experience delivering solutions to complex business challenges in an enterprise environment.

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Pages, and Copilot Studio.

  • Hands-on experience with Pega Cloud and Pega support.

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.

  • Strong skills in:

    • Business Analysis & Requirements Documentation (BRD/FRD)

    • Data Mapping and Process Modeling

    • SQL query development and data validation

    • Enterprise application support and troubleshooting

  • Experience collaborating across business, development, and QA teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with API / REST web services and data integrations.

  • Experience with API automation and testing tools (e.g., Postman).

  • Ability to build dashboards using Power BI or Tableau, including filters, parameters, and calculations.

  • Experience with data validation, cleansing, and reporting optimization.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud configurations.
