🌟 Role Overview
This is a full-time position based in Pune, offering flexible remote work options. As a Software Test Engineer, you will carry out day-to-day tasks such as designing, developing, and maintaining test cases for software systems. You will be responsible for executing software tests, identifying bugs, and ensuring the quality and functionality of developed software. In collaboration with the development and QA teams, you will also contribute to refining testing processes and ensuring compliance with software development requirements.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual test cases for new and existing features (functional, regression, exploratory).
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test coverage.
- Report, track, and help resolve software defects in a clear and timely manner.
- Execute automated test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines and contribute to quality gating.
- Validate API functionality using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
- Participate in sprint planning, QA discussions, and continuous process improvement.

🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing (manual + automation).
- Proficiency in Test Execution and the creation of detailed Test Cases to identify potential issues and ensure product quality.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing methodologies and techniques, with the ability to analyze and evaluate software performance.
- Experience and familiarity with the Software Development process, with an aptitude for collaborating with development teams to resolve defects efficiently.
- Additional skills such as knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks, a solid understanding of different development environments, and expertise in using defect tracking tools are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and QA methodologies.
- Ability to write test cases, test scripts, and maintain automated suites.
- Familiarity with API testing and automation.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of CI/CD integration GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc. is a plus.
- Exposure to test management or bug tracking tools Jira, TestRail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
