Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Flight Test Engineer to join our team. The role involves developing and executing flight test plans, analyzing test data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our aviation projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of flight test plans, test cards, and test objectives aligned with program and system requirements.
- Define test configurations, instrumentation needs, and data collection strategies.
- Coordinate with systems, controls, and operations teams to ensure test readiness.
- Participate in aircraft ground and flight test activities, supporting pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight operations.
- Monitor aircraft systems and telemetry during test execution to identify anomalies or safety concerns.
- Support real-time decision-making during test events in collaboration with pilots, flight test leads, and engineering teams.
- Analyze flight test data to assess system performance, aircraft behavior, and compliance with test objectives.
- Correlate flight test results with system expectations, simulations, or analytical models.
- Document findings, anomalies, and lessons learned, and communicate results to cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with systems, controls, avionics, and simulation engineers to investigate issues and support root-cause analysis.
- Support refinement of test procedures and system designs based on flight test outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of flight test processes and documentation.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Flight Test Engineer.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with aircraft flight test execution, including ground and/or flight activities.
- Experience developing or supporting flight test plans and test procedures.
- Strong experience in flight test data analysis and post-flight reporting.
- Systems-level understanding of aircraft and subsystem interactions.
- Experience supporting autonomous, optionally piloted, or experimental aircraft programs.
- Familiarity with telemetry systems, data acquisition, or flight test instrumentation.
- Experience working alongside flight controls or simulation teams.
- Exposure to simulation-based test planning or test correlation.
- Experience in regulated aerospace environments or certification-adjacent testing.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $66.00/hr.
