Job Description


This is a remote role; however, we only operate in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, TX and WI.

Our Executive Services consultants provide comprehensive advisory services spanning executive compensation, governance, and leadership strategy. We help organizations define and implement effective executive compensation programs that align with market benchmarks, organizational strategies, and regulatory requirements. Our expertise includes governance support for boards and committees, performance evaluations for executives and design of competitive total compensation. We also advise on executive benefits and pay-for-performance strategies. Additionally, we provide insights on emerging trends, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and employment agreements to ensure a holistic and compliant approach to executive talent management.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Manage small engagements and portions of large and/or complex projects within established budgets and regularly monitor the success of sequential project steps and tasks, effectively keeping the project manager and client relationship manager apprised of project status and introducing appropriate interventions or activities to keep the timeline, quality, and deliverables on track
  • Manage team productivity to ensure appropriate associate resource utilization, including prioritizing work and demonstrating effective delegation of project tasks, as appropriate, to analysts and consultants based on skill sets, efficiency, available time and project deadlines
  • Prepare comprehensive work plans, presentations and reports to address client needs, with direction from the client relationship manager
  • Oversee the development of project deliverables by more junior associates, reviewing for technical accuracy, quality, completeness, timeliness and use of appropriate language
  • Act as a key client liaison, including building client relationships through serving as a key point person for client questions, attendance at client meetings, and being proactive in anticipating client needs and questions
  • Participate in client meetings and anticipate client needs and questions
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for junior associates, proactively sharing knowledge, use of tools, processes and methodologies established by the Firm and those specific to practice areas to effectively guide more junior associates in complex research, data collection and analytics
  • Develop and implement tools, work product templates, processes and methodologies that will improve productivity and quality
  • Lead and participate in appropriate client delivery team meetings to understand team and client initiatives


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, ideally with an emphasis in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, accounting or health care administration
  • Must have compensation consulting experience
  • 7 - 10 years of progressively responsible consulting/business-related experience required, involving data analysis, financial modeling, program design and/or compensation program administration
  • Solid technical knowledge and experience working with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent project management, organizational skills, and ability to manage and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and priority-changing environment
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations that impact our health care clients
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Visualize and articulate a higher level of complex problems and concepts, recognize patterns in complex sets of data (using advanced modeling techniques), and develop practical models
  • Develop conclusions from analyses; develop solutions to client issues/challenges, with guidance
  • Anticipate challenges, identify alternate solutions, and address obstacles impeding project/team progress


Excellent interpersonal, coaching, writing, verbal and presentation skills are required, including the ability to:


  • Foster an open and effective channel of communication with clients and across teams
  • Provide constructive feedback and training that helps junior associates develop skills and experiences
  • Make clear and convincing oral presentations that demonstrate an understanding of the audience and the subject matter
  • Successfully tailor communications to the audience, as appropriate
  • Effectively present facts, analysis, and conclusions/solutions in a way that demonstrates command of content, factoring in perspectives and interests of the audience
  • Write concise project communications, documents, and presentations with an appropriate level of technical detail and complexity

Reflected below is the base salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors including but not limited to academic achievements, skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.


  • $116,600 to $174,800 annually
