TEKsystems is looking to bring on an IT Infrastructure Engineer-level resource to support operational workload as well as several upcoming infrastructure initiatives. This role will be 100% remote, working typical Alaska business hours Monday through Friday. This position will be highly hands-on and will work closely with the Infrastructure Architect and internal IT teams.

We're supporting a key technology organization located in Palmer, Alaska and are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to assist with both day-to-day operations and upcoming infrastructure initiatives. This will be a fully remote hands-on technical role supporting a mixed on-prem and cloud environment.

What You'll Do

• Manage and support physical and virtual infrastructure (servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud services)
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across on-prem and cloud environments
• Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response activities
• Implement or support security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, patching, system hardening)
• Deploy or maintain technologies including Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related platforms
• Collaborate closely with Infrastructure Architecture and internal IT teams to ensure stability and reliability

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies
• Solid troubleshooting capability across systems, networks, and virtualization
• Experience supporting both operational workload and project-based initiatives
• Security-minded with familiarity in patching, hardening, and core security controls
• Someone proactive, execution-focused, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities

This is a Contract position based out of Sacramento, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
