Role Overview

We’re looking for a VMware Cloud Engineer to join our team and help us design, deploy, and scale rock-solid environments. In this role, you will lead the deployment of VCF, optimize networking with NSX-T, and ensure seamless, scalable hybrid-cloud capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Deploy: Manage the full lifecycle of VCF, including management and workload domains.
• Optimize & Scale: Implement and fine-tune vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, HCX, and SRM.
• Troubleshoot: Dive deep into compute, storage, and network virtualization issues to keep the lights on and the performance high.
• Plan for the Future: Lead capacity planning, health checks, and risk assessments.
• DR Champion: Support disaster recovery architecture and rigorous testing.
• Knowledge Share: Create top-tier documentation and provide handoff training to customers and internal teams.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in enterprise IT, consulting, or service provider environments.
• VMware Expertise: Hands-on experience with VCF or large-scale VMware deployments.
• Technical Toolkit: Deep knowledge of virtualization, networking, and storage. You must be proficient in at least two: vSAN, NSX-T, HCX, or SRM.

• Hardware Familiarity: Experience with HCI platforms (like VxRail).
• Flexibility: Ability to support off-hours work and occasional travel as needed.
• English Level: Advanced verbal and written English (must be able to lead technical discussions with US stakeholders).
• Automation Skills: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like PowerCLI, Ansible, or Terraform.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications: VCP, VCAP, or VCIX are highly preferred.
• Public Cloud: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Storage Savvy: Knowledge of PowerStore or Veeam.
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a "proactive-first" mindset.
