Job Description
We are really good at what we do. We close green skills gaps inside some of the world's most recognised organisations, and we do it with rigour, methodology, and genuine impact. What we are not yet good at is telling that story loudly enough.
Our Green Skills Matrix, our learning methodology, our case studies, our nominations for Earthshot Prize 2026 and clients including Sail GP, Dyson, Adobe, and Arsenal FC deserve to be seen by the people who need us most.
We have upskilled over 5,000 people across corporate and community settings. And yet, not enough people know who we are. We are bold about what we believe. The green skills gap is one of the most urgent and under-resourced problems in the sustainability transition, and we intend to say that clearly, loudly, and often. That is where you come in.
About Sustained Futures
Sustained Futures closes the green skills gap, inclusively. We work with leading organisations to upskill workforces in sustainability, while simultaneously providing free education to young changemakers aged 15 to 25 through our 1+1 model.
We partner with global leaders including Watershed and the United Nations to extend our reach, deepen our methodology, and drive meaningful business growth.
We are a small, international team doing work that matters. We are growing, and we need someone who can help the world see it.
The Role
As Marketing Manager you will be the bridge between the exceptional work we deliver and the prospects, clients, and industry stakeholders who need to hear about it. You will work closely with our business development team to build pipeline, shape our market presence, and position Sustained Futures as the definitive voice on green skills.
This is a role for someone who understands sustainability deeply, can translate complex methodology into compelling narratives, and is not afraid to take up space with a bold, confident message. We are not looking for careful, corporate communications. We are looking for someone who can make people *stop scrolling*.
What You Are Walking Into
Interested in remote work opportunities in Marketing & Sale? Discover Marketing & Sale Remote Jobs featuring exclusive positions from top companies that offer flexible work arrangements.
This is a lean, high-autonomy setup. You will be the dedicated marketing resource, working directly with the founder and business development team.
There are no layers, no lengthy approval chains, and no committee sign-offs. That is a genuine advantage if you are someone who likes to move fast and own your work. We are honest that resource is not unlimited, but we are committed to equipping you with the tools and budget to do the job properly. The CRM infrastructure is in early stages, and getting that set up right from the start will be one of your first and most important wins.
The founder is deeply invested in the marketing side, actively posting, speaking, and building presence publicly, and you will have direct access to shape that narrative and amplify it.
What You Will Work On
- Develop and execute account-based marketing strategies in close collaboration with the business development team, supporting pipeline growth, prospect conversion, and client retention across target sectors including financial services, technology, manufacturing, and sport.
- Build and own our CRM infrastructure from the ground up, using HubSpot and Apollo to structure our pipeline data, manage contacts, and automate outreach sequences via Dripify. Getting this right early is a priority, not an afterthought.
- Lead on LinkedIn and organic social strategy, developing content that builds the Sustained Futures brand and amplifies our founder's voice and story. The founder is already an active, visible presence and a real asset. Your job is to build on that platform, sharpen the narrative, and extend its reach, not replace it.
- Drive email marketing and outreach sequences that are thoughtful, well-targeted, and sector-specific, turning cold prospects into warm conversations.
- Lead on thought leadership, including case studies that bring our client impact to life, content that demonstrates the depth of our Green Skills Matrix and methodology, and campaigns that position our team as credible, provocative voices in the sustainability space.
- Own our events and PR strategy, identifying the moments where Sustained Futures should be visible as speakers, partners, or conveners, and ensuring every event has a clear pipeline or profile outcome attached to it.
- Activate and grow our global partnerships with organisations, developing joint marketing activity, co-branded content, and partnership-driven campaigns that open doors into new markets and convert visibility into commercial opportunity.
- Bring creative direction to everything we put out, managing our CMS, producing standout visual content using Canva, with design agency support. You will have a point of view on how we look, sound, and show up. We are a bold company with a clear mission and our marketing should feel like it. Push us to be braver, sharper, and more distinctive in a space that too often defaults to safe.
- Use AI as a genuine creative and operational assistant, not a content factory. We are actively looking for someone who is curious about what AI can actually do, whether that is marketing automation, building lightweight tools to improve how we work, or experimenting with what is now possible.Â
- If you have an interest in vibe coding, workflow automation, or using AI to do things that would previously have taken a team, that is a real differentiator for us and something we will actively invest in.

What We Are Looking For
You will have experience working in or alongside the sustainability sector, with a solid grasp of current trends, frameworks, and the conversations happening across corporate ESG, net zero, green skills, and workforce development. You are fluent enough in sustainability to market it convincingly, not just compliantly.
You are a strong storyteller and a creative thinker who can turn a client programme or a skills framework into content that resonates with a Head of Sustainability, a CPO, or a CFO. Your primary strengths sit in LinkedIn and organic social, email and outreach, and events and PR. You have a good eye, a strong sense of brand, and the confidence to push creative boundaries in a mission-driven context.
You are comfortable with the tools including HubSpot, Apollo, Dripify, a CMS, and Canva, and you understand how to use them together to drive real outcomes rather than just activity. You thrive in a lean, high-autonomy environment and see working directly with a founder as an opportunity, not a gap.
A Note on Applying
We know that our work sits at the intersection of sustainability, learning, business development, and creative direction, and that not many people have experience across all of these. If you feel your background is adjacent rather than exact, we genuinely encourage you to apply.Â
Research consistently shows that women in particular are less likely to apply for roles where they do not feel fully qualified.Â
We want to be direct: if this role excites you and you can bring most of what we need, we want to hear from you.
The Practicalities
This is a part-time role, 2 to 3 days per week, fully remote with flexible working, at a day rate of £300 to £450 depending on experience. You will be joining a small, mission-driven international team where your contribution will be visible, valued, and directly tied to our growth.
To Apply
Send a short note about why this role resonates with you, along with your CV and/or portfolio work and/or short intro video and/or LinkedIn profile, to internal@sustainedfutures.com. We are more interested in how you think and what you can create rather than how long your CV is.
