Location: Fully Remote (U.S.)

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support customer-facing cloud modernization initiatives focused on AWS and Kubernetes environments. This role is responsible for delivering technically excellent, secure, and scalable solutions while ensuring strong project governance and operational performance.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist with deep AWS and Kubernetes expertise, strong automation skills, and a passion for cloud-native engineering practices in regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
Kubernetes & Microservices
- Design, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot large-scale microservices estates in production on Kubernetes
- Deploy and integrate service mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, or Consul
- Utilize Helm Charts and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs)
- Support distributed architectures across Dev, Test, and Production environments
- Implement GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD
CI/CD & Automation
- Architect, build, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, CodePipeline, or similar tools
- Automate infrastructure and application deployments across environments
- Implement static and dynamic code analysis tools within CI/CD pipelines (SonarQube, Selenium, etc.)
- Support full software development lifecycle delivery using Agile methodologies

Infrastructure as Code & Cloud Engineering
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK
- Automate AWS infrastructure using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or JavaScript
- Leverage configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Configure AWS environments for performance, security, and cost efficiency
- Implement tagging strategies to enable cost allocation and optimization
Migration & Cloud Modernization
- Assist in planning and executing migrations from on-premises environments to AWS
- Modernize applications into containerized microservices architectures
- Validate successful migration and decommission legacy infrastructure
Governance & Collaboration
- Participate in daily progress reviews and project governance routines
- Provide architectural guidance to developers working within AWS
- Collaborate closely with engineering and program leadership teams
- Maintain transparency, responsiveness, and accountability
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- 4โ7 years of DevOps / SRE experience in AWS environments
- 3+ years of Kubernetes experience running microservices in production
- 4+ years developing AWS cloud infrastructure
- 4+ years building CI/CD pipelines
- Strong working knowledge of AWS cloud security best practices
- Hands-on Linux and Docker experience
- Proficiency with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, Ruby, Go, Java, .NET, C++, etc.)
- Demonstrable knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Strong communication and time management skills
