Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance network infrastructure across enterprise and cloud environments. In this role, you will lead network architecture initiatives, support critical applications, and ensure seamless connectivity for business operations. You will collaborate closely with security, DevOps, and IT teams to enforce best practices, automate workflows, and troubleshoot complex network issues. This position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise-wide network strategy while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical innovation in a fully remote, high-performing work environment.

Accountabilities

• Architect, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and network segmentation components.
• Monitor network performance, identify latency or connectivity issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement automation and orchestration solutions using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with InfoSec and DevOps teams to maintain secure and compliant network operations.
• Document network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures for internal and audit purposes.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cross-functional technical initiatives and knowledge sharing.
  
  

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• 7+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure operations.
• Strong expertise in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, subnetting, and network design principles.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent enterprise networking devices.
• Proficiency in cloud networking, including AWS (VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect) and Azure (VNets, ExpressRoute).
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, zero-trust architectures, and network segmentation strategies.
• Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with network monitoring and logging tools, such as SolarWinds, Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK.
• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, SOC 2, or equivalent standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
