Director of HRIS
This is a vacancy for the 26-27 school year with a target start date of July 1, 2026
Mission
The Director of HRIS is responsible for the governance, optimization, and performance of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) ecosystem. This role oversees all Workday HCM modules—including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Performance, Learning, Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll—and ensures alignment with organizational goals, compliance standards, and employee experience initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises a team of 4-5 functional analysts.
Location:
This is a full-time position based in Texas, with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectations
4-6 times per year

- Build and lead a high-performing HRIS team of functional analysts.
- Oversee system configuration and data integrity across all Workday HCM modules.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for system usage, efficiency, and user satisfaction.
- Drive automation and process optimization across HR functions.
- Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and business leaders to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
- Lead audits and risk assessments related to HR systems and data.
- Supports and maintains legacy ERP system during ERP transition.

- Bachelor's degree with a major in Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with HCM configuration and support.
- 5+ years of experience with Human Resources

- 3+ years of experience utilizing project management frameworks to ensure project and team effectiveness.
- 5+ years of experience in business process design.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high performing teams.
- HR certifications preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits:
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $108,100 and $128,600, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
