Job Description
About the Company
We're a mental health marketing, web design, and coaching agency offering "done with you" and "done for you" services to help psychotherapists attract their dream clients and grow their businesses. Our mission: to improve our collective mental health by providing a clear, sustainable path for clinicians to support more people and make the world a better place.
We offer three primary service lines: à la carte web design, our flagship "$300K Practice Foundation Program," and monthly marketing management. Our full suite of services includes SEO research, content creation, directory listings, social media support, and comprehensive reporting. Throughout all offerings, we emphasize authentic, therapist-written content to build trust with potential clients.
Our customers are primarily solo mental health practitioners and occasionally small group practices (2-8 therapists) across the United States. Our clients trust us with their deepest professional aspirations, and we take pride in helping them achieve meaningful success.
With 20 years of industry experience, we've worked with hundreds of therapists and are experiencing rapid growth in our client count and team size. Our Founder has been designing and coding websites since 1996, with a unique background that includes starring in a National Geographic TV show and remote work experience across 44 countries.
OUR COMPANY VALUES guide our team and shape our culture:
- 🏆 Expertise: We're all experts in what we do, continuously honing our skills.
- 🙌 Ownership: You are the owner of your work, empowered to make decisions and drive results.
- 📚 Growth Mindset: We are lifelong learners, always seeking to improve and innovate.
- 🌍 Impact: We make the world a better place by supporting mental health professionals.
- 🏝️ Freedom: Creative digital minds need liberation - remote work is key to our success.
We're a fully remote organization with 10 core team members (soon to be 11 👋), including our Founder, SEO and Google Ads Specialists, CRM Manager, Graphic Designers, Web Designers, Account Manager, and Copywriters. We're headquartered in Santa Cruz, California, and our team spans Pakistan, Brazil, Bangladesh, Philippines, India, and South Africa.
Our culture is fast-paced yet flexible, with strong emphasis on independent work and self-management. We communicate primarily through Slack and Zoom, fostering an environment where every team member has a voice. We believe in autonomy and efficiency, avoiding micromanagement as long as results are being produced. Our team enjoys ample support through regular check-ins and weekly huddles, plus time for self-guided learning.
About the Role
We're looking for a remote Junior SEO & Marketing Specialist to execute SEO tasks and handle marketing operations for our mental health clients. You'll work across 21+ monthly clients using AI prompts, established SOPs, and sound marketing judgment to deliver ready-to-use work the first time.
You'll handle both SEO execution and marketing operations. On the SEO side: content briefs, Google stacks, schema markup, AI-assisted drafts for Copywriters, directory submissions. On the marketing ops side: data prep for Ads Specialists and Strategists, CRM setup, site maintenance, weekly ad-hoc tasks. You'll also onboard new clients—setting up tracking and pulling baseline data so senior team members focus on strategy, not execution.
This is an excellent learning opportunity for someone early in their marketing career who wants to master AI-powered SEO in a fast-growing agency. We're onboarding 2-4 new clients monthly, so there's steady work and room to grow. You'll handle both foundational grunt work and strategic projects—think of this as the role where you prove yourself indispensable and learn the business inside-out.
Our IDEAL CANDIDATE brings 1-2 years of experience in marketing, copywriting, SEO, or digital agency work—agency experience strongly preferred. You have strong English skills, experience using AI tools like ChatGPT for marketing tasks, and comfort with Google products (Analytics, Tag Manager, Docs). You're tech-savvy and learn new tools quickly. You're meticulous—you follow checklists, catch errors before submission, and take ownership of quality. You question AI outputs that don't make sense and grasp the "why" behind tasks. You work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy. Most importantly, you're the reliable central cog that makes everyone's job easier—when you mark something complete, the whole team trusts it's ready with no quality check needed.
Performance Metrics: Your performance will be measured by accuracy of deliverables (e.g., code works without errors, content briefs are complete and ready to use), efficiency in completing tasks on time, and reliability, measured by how rarely work needs to be sent back for revisions.
Reporting Structure: You'll collaborate with the SEO Team, Conversion Copywriters, and Google Ads Specialist. This position reports directly to our SEO Manager and Director of Client Success and Operations.

- Content Brief Development: Creating briefs using AI prompts; editing for readability, natural tone, and logic; ensuring semantic entity coverage for mental health keywords; delivering to copywriters.
- AI-Assisted Content Drafts: Running prompts to generate first drafts for Conversion Copywriters; reviewing for tone, accuracy, and flow before handoff.
- Marketing Operations Support: Assisting with GoHighLevel CRM setup; updating SOPs and process documentation; handling ad-hoc marketing tasks (expect at least one weekly); supporting various marketing initiatives as needed.
- Google Stacks: Building 2-4 stacks per client monthly via Google Sites; incorporating Maps, Calendar, Sheets, and APIs to boost authority signals; ~1 hour per stack.
- Schema Markup: Generating code using templatized prompts; reviewing for accuracy and syntax; implementing in WordPress; validating; troubleshooting errors; ~15-20 minutes per page.
- Citation & Entity SEO: Managing directory submissions (Foursquare, MapQuest, industry directories); maintaining NAP consistency; optimizing brand presence as distinct entities in search engine knowledge graphs.
- Site Maintenance & QA: Running monthly audits; updating themes/plugins with WP Engine backups; performing site quality checks; preparing Google Ads data for the Ads Specialist.
