Job Description
Join us at Overvak, where we’re building technology that empowers working parents to navigate parenthood and career with greater ease and confidence. Our platform addresses a real, unmet need helping parents stay connected, informed, and focused on the moments that matter most.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure working parents never miss an important moment in their child’s day. We’re creating intelligent, meaningful technology that surfaces what truly matters and keeps families connected in real time.
As an early member of our team, you’ll contribute to redefining an industry and building a product that will have a positive impact on millions of working parents.
The Role
We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to join us in a part-time, contract role for approximately 6 months, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time position based on performance and alignment with company needs.
In this role, you will design and develop AI pipelines capable of detecting meaningful actions, optimize model performance, and continuously improve pipeline quality. You will also work closely on integrating our AI stack with our camera ecosystem. We’re looking for someone motivated, collaborative, and excited to help build the future of parenting technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, train, and fine-tune models using PyTorch and/or TensorFlow for action detection, classification, and related tasks.
- Build and optimize end-to-end computer vision pipelines, including preprocessing, data augmentation, and real-time inference.
- Deploy models into production environments and design scalable solutions as our user base grows.
- Monitor and maintain deployed models, implementing retraining and continuous optimization workflows.
- Research and apply emerging techniques in computer vision, deep learning, and model efficiency.
- Collaborate on camera system integration to enhance onboarding flows, pairing reliability, and livestream performance.
