About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Front End (Drupal) Developer II to join our dynamic team remotely from anywhere in the United States. This nine-month contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative projects within a collaborative environment. The role involves developing and maintaining web applications, implementing new features, and evolving design systems to enhance user experience. You will work closely with product development teams, UX designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, accessible, and secure digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Drupal development, a passion for creating seamless user interfaces, and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in front-end development, specifically with Drupal CMS.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end technologies.
  • Experience with Drupal theme development, including custom themes and base themes.
  • Familiarity with PHP, Twig templating, and Drupal module development.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices for user experience.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to document processes clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new Drupal themes, templates, and design systems based on provided specifications.
  • Collaborate with UX designers and product teams to create engaging, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Work closely with PDT engineers to develop new features, maintain existing applications, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and weekly syncs to stay aligned with project updates and priorities.
  • Identify and troubleshoot bugs or issues within the front-end codebase, providing timely solutions.
  • Build custom modules and integrations as required to extend Drupal functionalities.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability across projects.
  • Write comprehensive documentation for developed features, modules, and design implementations to facilitate future maintenance and upgrades.
  • Ensure all development work adheres to security standards, best practices, and accessibility guidelines.
