A growing wealth management and financial planning firm that provides portfolio management and advisory services to high-earning professionals across industries such as finance, consulting, and law. The firm operates with a fully remote team and leverages modern technology to support advisors, streamline operations, and deliver a high level of service to clients.

Job Description:

The firm is seeking an IT Manager to join its Business Operations team and take ownership of the organization’s technology infrastructure and cybersecurity program. This individual will manage and optimize the firm’s remote IT environment, lead infrastructure initiatives, and serve as the primary technical resource for both internal systems and industry-specific financial software platforms.

This role is highly hands-on and will be responsible for scaling the firm’s technology environment as the company continues to grow. The IT Manager will oversee infrastructure projects, collaborate with external IT vendors and managed service providers, support employees with technical needs, and ensure that systems remain secure, efficient, and aligned with the firm’s operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Ownership and Technology Strategy

  • Maintain operational ownership of the firm’s core technology infrastructure, ensuring systems are configured, secure, and optimized to support employee productivity and business operations
  • Lead infrastructure initiatives and technology improvements across collaboration tools, identity management, device management, and internal systems
  • Implement and manage solutions related to identity and access management, device security, and internal collaboration platforms
  • Evaluate and introduce new technologies that can improve operational efficiency, including emerging tools such as AI-enabled productivity platforms
  • Develop internal documentation and training materials to improve technical proficiency across the organization

Business Systems and Technology Integration

  • Serve as a technical resource for business applications used across the firm’s operations and advisory teams
  • Assist with evaluating and implementing new software solutions that improve internal workflows, data access, and client service
  • Help integrate systems across the firm’s technology stack using APIs, automation platforms, or other integration tools to streamline processes and reduce manual work
  • Stay informed on emerging technology trends relevant to financial services and wealth management firms

Cybersecurity and Risk Management

  • Maintain and enhance the firm’s cybersecurity program in collaboration with external IT partners
  • Develop and enforce policies related to device security, access control, and data protection
  • Proactively identify vulnerabilities and lead initiatives to strengthen the firm’s security posture, particularly within a distributed workforce environment

IT Support and Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary liaison between the firm and its managed service provider and technology vendors
  • Manage vendor relationships, software licensing, renewals, and technology procurement
  • Provide hands-on internal IT support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues for employees
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes including device provisioning, account setup, and secure access management

Career Growth:

As the firm continues to grow, the IT environment will expand in complexity and scale. This role offers the opportunity to gradually move from day-to-day support toward a more strategic leadership position overseeing the firm’s broader technology roadmap and infrastructure initiatives.
