Newly created engineering leadership role responsible for building the enterprise applications platform supporting a recently acquired business. Superior Hires is partnering with a rapidly growing Fortune 500 organization expanding through both acquisition and organic growth. Following a recent an enterprise acquisition, the company has created a Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications Engineering role responsible for leading the engineering capability supporting the acquired platform as it is integrated into the company’s enterprise systems.
Oracle E-Business Suite (R12) serves as the enterprise transactional backbone. This role will lead teams responsible for building modern applications and integrations that extend and interact with that platform.
About the Role:
This role sits at the intersection of enterprise applications and software engineering leadership. The Senior Manager will hire and lead engineering teams responsible for designing and delivering custom applications, integrations, and services that support operational workflows while integrating with Oracle EBS.
The position requires a leader with a software engineering foundation who has experience managing development teams building enterprise applications that integrate with ERP platforms. This is not an ERP implementation or functional leadership role. Instead, the focus is on application engineering, platform integration, and Agile delivery leadership. The role provides architectural leadership within established enterprise architecture standards and will guide engineering practices across the team. The position will also play a key role in the integration of the newly acquired platform into the enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering organization responsible for enterprise business applications, integrations, and platform services.
- Serve as the technical leader and architectural guide for the team, ensuring solutions align with established enterprise architecture standards.
- Build and develop a high-performing engineering team, including hiring, mentoring, and structuring onshore and offshore resources.
- Drive modern software engineering practices including DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and automated testing.
- Oversee development and customization of enterprise applications that extend and integrate with core ERP systems.
- Lead architecture and delivery of ERP integrations, APIs, middleware services, and microservices-based solutions.
- Ensure enterprise applications are scalable, secure, and maintainable as the organization continues to expand.
- Partner closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders to translate strategic initiatives into technical solutions.
- Lead the integration of a newly acquired $1B business into the organization’s enterprise systems environment.
- Manage vendor partners and external development teams while maintaining strong engineering standards and delivery accountability.

Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering and enterprise application development
- 5+ years leading software engineering or application development teams
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise application architectures and integrations
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies
- Experience building and managing distributed teams including offshore or nearshore resources
- Experience integrating or extending enterprise ERP platforms such as Oracle E-Business Suite or similar systems
- Strong understanding of API-driven architectures, middleware, and enterprise integration patterns
- Ability to operate as a hands-on technical leader while guiding engineering teams
- Experience supporting organizations undergoing rapid growth, transformation, or acquisition integration
Preferred Skills:
