Security Analyst

We are looking for a Security Analyst to help us support our continued growth. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Security Analyst to join our technology team. This role will support our security efforts by monitoring our internal applications (Jira, Smartsheet, Salesforce, Slack and Google Workspace and others ), assisting in incident response, implementing basic security controls, and contributing to a security-conscious culture. Additionally will support the rollout of Managed Devices and assist managing our Mobile Device Management system. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of security principles and a strong desire to learn and grow within the cybersecurity field.

Role Responsibilities:

• Monitor internal systems for security-related events and potential anomalies.
• Primary point of contact for provision and deprovisioning of user accounts.
• Help implement and maintain basic security configurations within all internal systems (including, but not limited to, Salesforce, Slack, Google and Lucid).
• Support the audit and configure management of endpoint security software.
• Audit and implement policies related to Coastal’s BYOD policies.
• Assist in the initial investigation of security alerts and incidents under the guidance of senior team members.
• Assist in the mitigation of low-level security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Review security logs and reports to identify potential security issues.
• Provide first-level support for security-related queries from employees.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of basic security documentation, ISO-27001 and SOC2 documentation.
• Assist in security awareness training initiatives for employees (e.g. phishing exercises and annual training requirements).
• Stay informed about basic security threats and trends relevant to cloud platforms.
• Collaborate with IT team members on security-related tasks.
• Assist in data gathering and documentation for compliance audits.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures.

Experience/Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
• 0-3 years of experience in an IT-related role, with exposure to security concepts preferred.
• Ability to work independently and productively in a remote work environment.
• Basic understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (Salesforce or Google Workspace experience is a plus).
• Understanding of basic networking concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach to learning and a strong interest in cybersecurity.
• Must have full-time permanent US work authorization
  
  
  

Additional Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Experience working with Managed Devices, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Google Suite & Salesforce in a professional setting and familiarity with its security components
