Network Security & CDN Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a Network Security & CDN Specialist to join our team in a fully remote capacity within the United States. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with firewalls, content delivery networks (CDNs), and DNS management. Familiarity with Akamai is highly preferred, though experience with other CDN providers will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage firewall policies to ensure secure network operations.
• Configure, monitor, and optimize CDN solutions (Akamai or equivalent) to improve application performance and reliability.
• Manage and troubleshoot DNS infrastructure, ensuring high availability and fast resolution times.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, IT) to integrate CDN and firewall solutions into enterprise systems.
• Monitor network traffic, identify anomalies, and respond to security incidents.

• Document processes, configurations, and best practices for ongoing operations.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on CDN and DNS technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience working with firewalls, CDNs, and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with Akamai CDN strongly preferred; other CDN platforms (Cloudflare, Fastly, AWS CloudFront, etc.) acceptable.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS).
