About The Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst to join our team remotely within the United States. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals early in their analytics careers to develop technical skills and gain broad exposure to data analysis, reporting, and system integration projects. As a Junior Data Analyst at Nimbis Designs, you will work closely with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, build insightful reports and dashboards, and ensure data quality across various platforms. You will be involved in data modeling, creating system documentation, and supporting system migrations, all while learning from experienced professionals in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, and eager to grow their expertise in data analytics and related tools, contributing meaningfully to a high-performing team dedicated to solving real business challenges.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in spreadsheet tools such as Excel or Google Sheets
• Basic SQL skills including querying, joining tables, filtering, and aggregating data
• Interest or familiarity with analytics tools like Zoho Analytics and Power BI
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects
• Experience with data cleaning, transformation, or ETL processes
• Familiarity with R or Python is a plus
• Understanding of basic statistics or machine learning concepts is desirable
• Experience with the Zoho ecosystem is advantageous but not mandatory

Responsibilities

• Gather, clarify, and document both business and technical requirements by asking insightful questions
• Create reports and dashboards using Zoho Analytics, Power BI, and similar tools to support data-driven decision making
• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
• Clean, transform, and prepare datasets for analysis or system integration tasks
• Validate data quality by identifying anomalies, missing data, or logical inconsistencies across multiple systems
• Design and develop entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), system maps, and architecture documentation using tools like Lucidchart
• Produce clear and concise deliverables such as walkthroughs and documentation to facilitate client understanding and team collaboration
• Support system migrations and data integration efforts as part of project deliverables
• Continuously learn new analytics tools and techniques to enhance project outcomes
