The project focuses on enhancing the client’s existing security scanner by improving detection accuracy, integrating AI capabilities, and preparing the solution for global deployment across multiple development environments and technologies.
This is a fully remote freelance opportunity working with a modern security-focused engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
Scanner Development
- Enhance the Gitleaks-based scanning solution with custom extensions written in Rust
- Develop new detection patterns and regex rules for identifying exposed credentials and sensitive data
DevOps & CI/CD Integration
- Integrate the scanning solution into **GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Implement automated security policy checks and compliance mechanisms
- Optimize pipeline performance and orchestration
AI & LLM Integration
