Azure Cloud Engineer

Our client, CKB Bank, a leading financial institution in Montenegro is on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to join their Cloud & Infrastructure team.

This role is based in Podgorica and requires relocation.

As the bank accelerates its cloud transformation journey and establishes its Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), this role becomes a key technical pillar in building, standardizing, and operating their enterprise cloud platform.

This role plays a key part in designing and implementing Azure architectures, building a secure and scalable cloud environment, and establishing IaC and automation practices. It also supports the bank’s cloud migration journey, ensures high availability and operational excellence of the platform, and contributes to cloud governance, security, and documentation.

What You Will Do

• Design, implement, and administer solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform

• Manage Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS resources (VMs, Storage, Networking, App Services, AKS, Automation, etc.)
• Apply cloud security controls, governance, and best practices
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Implement and manage cloud backup, HA, and DR architectures
• Monitor and optimize performance, stability, and cost of the Azure environment
• Participate in cloud migration and modernization projects
• Maintain high‑quality documentation, standards, and operational procedures
• Work closely with the Cloud & Infrastructure team and other IT units

Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure or another major cloud platform (AWS/GCP)
• Solid understanding of core cloud services, networking and security concepts
• Proven experience with Terraform or other IaC tools
• Experience with cloud monitoring and backup tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, ASR, etc.)
• Good understanding of cloud security principles (RBAC, identity, governance, policy)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Advantage: Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-900)
• Advantage: Experience with on-prem infrastructure (VMware/Hyper-V, networking, backup)
• Willingness to relocate to Podgorica, Montenegro
