Job Title: Senior Database Administrator

Location: 100% Remote

Contract Duration: 1 Year

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator with strong expertise in Software AG technologies. The selected candidate will collaborate with ADABAS administrators to support the MACWIS system and other related applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support ADABAS databases and related Software AG products for enterprise systems.
• Analyze user requirements and assist with system design, testing, implementation, and quality assurance of information systems.
• Support applications utilizing Natural One, ADABAS, MVS/JCL, COBOL/CICS, VSAM files, Linux/zLinux, Espsoft/SCL, Informix, and UNIX.
• Maintain and enhance database performance, stability, and reliability across supported systems.
• Provide system architecture guidance and technical expertise for database and application environments.
• Develop, maintain, and update documentation related to procedures, policies, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting MACWIS and other MDHS applications.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide operational support when required.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience with Software AG technologies, including:
• ADABAS
• Natural
• Natural One
• Predict
• Construct
• ADABAS Replication
• Treehouse tcVision
• WebMethods EntireX
• CONNX SQL Gateway
• ApplinX
• Natural AJAX
• 10+ years of experience analyzing user requirements and supporting information systems using:
• Natural One
• ADABAS
• MVS/JCL
• COBOL/CICS
• VSAM files
