About Let's Hang

Let's Hang is a consumer-focused event ticketing platform. We provide ticketing management systems and facilities for event organizers across the US. We're bootstrapped, scrappy, and obsessed with understanding our customers better than anyone else.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Founder's Office Executive — unique role that blends community engagement, market intelligence, and organic social media growth — all with the goal of deeply understanding what event organizers need and translating that into actionable insights for our product and marketing teams.

This is an entry-level role perfect for someone who is curious, engaged, and eager to learn how early-stage companies grow from the ground up.

What You'll OwnCommunity Engagement & Market Intelligence (Primary Focus)

  • Become active in event organizer communities:Reddit (r/EventPlanning, r/SmallBusiness, niche event subreddits)
  • Facebook Groups (event planning, community organizers, small business groups)
  • TikTok (following event creators, understanding trends, engaging authentically)
  • Instagram (engaging with event pages, understanding what resonates)
  • Industry forums and Slack/Discord communities
  • Listen and learn:What pain points do event organizers complain about?
  • What features do they wish ticketing platforms had?
  • What are they saying about Eventbrite, Ticketmaster, and competitors?
  • What content resonates? What gets ignored?
  • Report insights weekly:Summarize key themes, quotes, and opportunities
  • Suggest product improvements based on community feedback
  • Identify content ideas and messaging angles that could work

Organic Social Media Management

  • Manage Let's Hang's organic social media presence:TikTok (primary focus — create short-form video content showcasing event success stories, tips, platform features)
  • Instagram (posts, stories, reels highlighting customers, event trends, behind-the-scenes)
  • Twitter/X (engage in conversations, share quick tips, build brand voice)
  • LinkedIn (thought leadership content, company updates, industry insights)
  • Create a social media content calendar:Plan weekly content themes based on market insights
  • Balance educational content (event planning tips), inspirational content (customer stories), and promotional content (platform features)
  • Post 3-5 times per week across all channels
  • Design simple visual content:Use Canva to create graphics, quote cards, and simple animations
  • Collaborate with in-house designer (Anusha) for premium assets when needed
  • Track engagement and iterate:Monitor what content performs well and double down
  • Test different formats, tones, and posting times
  • Report monthly on follower growth, engagement rates, and top-performing posts

Strategic Input & Learning

  • Participate in weekly strategy calls with founders:Share market insights and community feedback
  • Suggest business ideas, marketing angles, and product improvements
  • Learn how decisions get made in an early-stage startup
  • Contribute to growth experiments:Help test new messaging, landing pages, or campaigns
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new acquisition channels
  • Shadow other team members to learn different functions

What We're Looking ForRequired Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in social media, community management, or related roles
  • Active on social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, Twitter) — not just as a consumer, but as a creator or community participant
  • Excellent written communication skills — you can write in a clear, engaging, and authentic voice
  • Basic design skills using Canva or similar tools

Preferred Experience

  • Background in startup environments or small teams where you wore multiple hats
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools (Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience creating short-form video content (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts)

Skills & Attributes

  • Curious and eager to learn: You ask "why?" and want to understand how businesses work
  • Creative storyteller: You can turn boring features into compelling stories
  • US market native: You understand US culture, trends, and communication styles

What Success Looks LikeMonth 1

  • Social media content calendar created and approved
  • First 10-15 organic social posts published across channels

  • Weekly insights reports driving at least 2-3 actionable product/marketing ideas
  • Social media posting cadence established (3-5 posts/week)

Month 3+

  • Community insights directly influencing product roadmap and marketing messaging
  • Organic social media driving measurable awareness and inbound interest
  • Strong understanding of Let's Hang's business model and growth levers
