Job Description
IT Manager
NeuBird is scaling rapidly and we need an IT manager to own our internal technology operations. You'll ensure our distributed team has the tools, access, and infrastructure they need to work efficiently while managing costs and maintaining security across our cloud environments and corporate systems.
What You'll Do
Manage all corporate IT assets and systems that keep NeuBird running. You'll handle employee onboarding and offboarding, provision access to AWS, Azure, Slack, Google Workspace, and other tools, and maintain our hardware inventory from laptops to monitors. You'll own our network infrastructure, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure remote employees across multiple time zones can work without tech friction.

You'll manage cloud spend across AWS and Azure, tracking usage, identifying cost optimization opportunities, and working with engineering teams to rightsize resources without impacting performance. This means reviewing cloud bills, setting up budget alerts, implementing access controls, and making sure we're not paying for idle resources. You'll also manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate new tools as the company grows.
You'll establish IT policies and documentation, handle security compliance requirements, and be the go-to person when something breaks. This role reports to the Head of Product & Operations and will be instrumental in maintaining operational efficiency as we scale.
What You Bring
You have 3-5 years in IT operations or systems administration with at least 1-2 years in a management or lead role, ideally at a growing tech company. You're comfortable managing AWS and Azure environments (IAM, cost management, basic networking), administering Google Workspace (user provisioning, groups, security settings), and supporting Slack as a critical communication tool. You understand networking fundamentals, VPNs, SSO/SAML, and basic security best practices.

You've managed IT assets before—tracking hardware, handling procurement, coordinating repairs and replacements. You're familiar with MDM solutions for managing company devices and have dealt with the operational reality of supporting a distributed workforce across time zones. You can balance security requirements with user experience, knowing when to enforce policies strictly and when to find pragmatic solutions.
More importantly, you're a problem solver who stays calm when things break. You can triage issues quickly, communicate clearly with non-technical users, and know when to escalate versus handle it yourself. You're comfortable wearing multiple hats and building processes from scratch as the company grows.
