Support donor cultivation and stewardship by tailoring stories for fundraising campaigns, partner communications, and stewardship touchpoints.
Develop and execute the org-wide communications calendar.
Write and edit high-quality copy, including email campaigns, monthly newsletters, donor communications, and blog content.
Drive campaign lifecycles from initial concept and creative development through to final performance reporting.
Support basic design needs, including emails, social media graphics, flyers, and other digital materials.
Collaborate with other members of the marketing team, external consultants, and creative partners.
Craft and manage social media content across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).
Assist with the creation of simple visual assets and short-form video content using tools like Canva.
Use data-driven insights from social and web platforms to refine narrative strategy.
Maintain a consistent, high-quality social media presence, engaging with comments and inquiries.
Work closely with the Managing Director of Growth to develop and execute targeted Google and Meta ad campaigns.
Maintain listings in key online directories, such as Go Overseas and GoAbroad.com.
Work to open additional customer acquisition channels.

POSITION OVERVIEW


AMIGOS is looking for a creative, hands-on Marketing & Communications Manager to lead our storytelling and digital marketing efforts. We need someone who can leverage our 60-year legacy of youth leadership and translate it into a modern, compelling brand voice that resonates with students, parents, and donors alike.


This role is designed for a proactive writer who loves turning “on-the-ground” impact into high-performing digital content. You’ll work on our core channels (social, email, and web), collaborating closely with our leadership and other members of the marketing team to ensure the AMIGOS mission is communicated with clarity and energy. Messaging & Storytelling:


  • Champion the AMIGOS brand across all digital and print platforms

Content & Campaign Execution:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, content, and communications
  • Experience supporting or managing content calendars and workflows
  • Comfortable taking direction and confident offering new, creative ideas
  • A strong storyteller and writer
  • Proactive, thoughtful, and collaborative
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Comfortable with organizational change and evolution


Skills & Experience:


  • Excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to effectively tailor messaging to our targeted audiences (students, parents, educators, donors, and partners)
  • Experience managing or supporting social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)
  • Experience with email marketing platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Ortto, etc.)
  • Familiarity with design tools like Canva and/or Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Analytics experience (i.e., Google Analytics, social media insights, email metrics) to inform messaging decisions
  • Proven ability to work independently and communicate effectively across a distributed team using tools like Slack and Zoom
  • Strong attention to detail


Nice to Have:


  • Experience working in or alongside a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
  • Experience in Latin American travel or community development
  • Experience with WordPress and HTML/CSS

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS


The anticipated salary range for this position is $50k-$65k. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's location, cost of living, and experience level.
