Isaacus is an AI research company building legal superintelligence. Our state-of-the-art AI models help legal tech firms ship smarter products, faster. We're based in Australia but operate internationally, serving law firms, enterprises, and governments in the US, UK, Canada, Europe, and elsewhere.
We're looking for a Data Engineer to support data ingestion, enrichment, and serving.
What you'll do
As an Isaacus Data Engineer, you'll:
- Scrape and ingest data from public sources.
- Enrich data, including performing OCR, segmentation, classification, extraction, and knowledge graphitization.
- Construct training datasets, including through synthetic data generation.
- Maintain and expand our vast catalog of data sources, searching for new opportunities to procure or collect data.
- Design and implement data models, schemas, standards, and architectures.
- Build infrastructure and pipelines for processing, storing, retrieving, and serving data at scale.
- Analyze and present data to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Create new benchmarks, including collecting and occasionally annotating data, building evaluation pipelines, and documenting methodologies.
- Publish and maintain open-source datasets.

What we're looking for
An Isaacus Data Engineer should:
- Be fluent in Python and SQL.
- Be skilled in web scraping, data enrichment, synthetic data generation, and big data processing.
- Be experienced in data science, data engineering, and NLP.
- Be passionate about data science and engineering.
