Job Title: Senior Database Administrator (ADABAS) – Remote
Location: 100% Remote (USA)
Duration: 12 Months (04/01/2026 – 03/31/2027)
Schedule: 40 hrs/week | Mon–Fri (8 AM – 5 PM)
On-Call: Required
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator (ADABAS) to support critical applications for a State Government client. This role involves working on legacy mainframe systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support ADABAS databases and Natural/Natural One applications
- Collaborate with technical teams to support MACWIS and other enterprise systems
- Perform system analysis, testing, implementation, and quality assurance
- Manage database performance, tuning, and troubleshooting
- Support integration using tools like EntireX, CONNX, and ApplinX
- Maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide production support

Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with Software AG products (ADABAS, Natural, Natural One, Predict, Construct, etc.)
- Strong experience with mainframe technologies:
- MVS, JCL, COBOL, CICS, VSAM
- Experience working with Linux/zLinux, UNIX, Informix
- Hands-on experience in system analysis, testing, and QA
- 3+ years of experience in system architecture & documentation
