Senior Frontend Developer (React & TypeScript)
Location: Fully Remote
Contract: 12-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
We’re working with a well-established organisation in the financial services space that is looking to bring on a Senior Frontend Developer to join their growing tech team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale, production-grade applications in a fully remote environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping and building modern, scalable frontend applications while driving best practices and contributing to technical direction. This is a hands-on role with strong influence over architecture and engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable frontend applications using React and TypeScript
- Lead frontend architecture and technical design decisions
- Develop high-quality, maintainable, and performant UI components
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, designers, and product teams
- Drive and implement best practices in frontend development
- Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and technical leadership
- Improve developer experience, application performance, and usability
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other developers

Requirements
- 4+ years’ experience with React
- 4+ years’ experience with TypeScript
- Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture and design patterns
- Proven experience building large-scale, production-grade web applications
- Deep knowledge of: JavaScript (ES6+), Component-based architectures, API integration, Performance optimisation, State management patterns
- Experience with modern frontend tooling and build systems
Note: ~R450 per hour (neg)
