Role Description

Look North World (LNW) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Level Designer to help build engaging physics-based trickshot challenges for our Dude Perfect Trickshot Challenge game developed in Unity. This role is responsible for ideating, designing, implementing, and polishing levels that capture the excitement and spectacle of trick shots while delivering satisfying gameplay moments.


Our game is a collection of physics-based challenges inspired by the iconic trick shots of Dude Perfect alongside original levels that expand the creativity of the format. As a Level Designer, you will take ownership of your levels from concept through final polish — including pitching new ideas, experimenting with mechanics, and refining the player experience through iteration and playtesting.


Qualifications

● 3–5+ years of professional experience in Level Design or related game design roles

● Experience designing gameplay spaces, puzzles, or challenge-based levels in a 3D game environment

● Strong understanding of player flow, difficulty ramping, and moment-to-moment gameplay pacing

● Passion for crafting memorable gameplay moments through creative level design

● Experience designing or implementing physics-based gameplay or puzzle mechanics is a strong plus

● Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with cross-disciplinary teams

● Highly iterative mindset with the ability to prototype, playtest, and refine designs quickly

● Comfortable owning work end-to-end from concept through implementation and polish


Bonus Qualifications

 ● Experience designing puzzles or challenge-based content in casual or physics-driven games

● Experience recreating real-world scenarios or translating physical stunts into gameplay

● Familiarity with Unity, Unreal Engine, UEFN, Roblox or similar game engines

● Experience using scripting or visual logic systems to prototype gameplay mechanics


What you'll be doing?

● Design and build physics-based trickshot levels inspired by Dude Perfect content as well as original gameplay ideas

● Own the full lifecycle of levels including ideation, greyboxing, implementation, polish, and playtesting

● Pitch new level concepts, mechanics, and gameplay ideas that enhance the player experience

● Translate real-world trick shots into fun and achievable gameplay challenges

● Collaborate with engineering, art, and design teams to bring levels to life and ensure technical feasibility

● Iterate on level layouts and mechanics based on playtest feedback and player data

● Tune difficulty, pacing, and scoring systems to create satisfying progression and challenge

● Help establish best practices and pipelines for physics-based puzzle level creation

● Contribute to brainstorming and creative discussions about the overall direction of the game
