Senior Go Engineer

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Go Engineer to work in a 100% remote capacity. You will contribute to the development, deployment, and support of backend data services and pipelines. The ideal candidate will have experience working in multi-layer microservices and API calls of multi-million per day. Previous experience working at a large enterprise in a similar environment will be highly successful at our client!

Duties:

• Code primarily in Go with Python for data pipelines
• Utilize configuration languages like YAML and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Google Cloud Build
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and manage containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes
• Build and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs
• Advocate for good testing practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD) and maintain various types of tests for high-quality software delivery

• Own and operate the services you build, troubleshooting production systems and supporting end-users for continuous improvement

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 6+ years of professional hands-on development/software engineering
• 3+ years working with Golang
• 3+ years working with Google Cloud Platform
• 3+ years working with GitHub
• 3+ years working with tooling like Terraform or Helm

The approximate pay range for this position is between $175,000 and $185,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
