About the Role
A high-growth AI startup is hiring Member of Technical Staff (2โ8 YOE) to build and scale a next-generation AI research platform.
This is a 0โ1 product + platform role for engineers who can operate across backend, infrastructure, and product, owning systems end-to-end in a fast-moving environment.
You will work directly on LLM-powered workflows, research agents, and real-time systems, contributing across engineering, product, and design.
What Youโll Do
- Build and ship 0โ1 product features across backend and full-stack systems
- Develop LLM-powered workflows (chat, agents, research pipelines)
- Design and scale distributed systems and APIs
- Work on product-heavy features (UX, incentives, data flows, user interactions)
- Collaborate closely with product + design on core platform experience
- Own systems end-to-end โ design โ build โ deploy โ iterate
- Contribute to engineering standards, system design, and architecture decisions
Who You Are
- 2โ8 years as a full-stack or platform engineer
- Experience at early-stage startups (SeedโSeries D) or high-growth environments
- Strong founder-like ownership โ operates well in ambiguity
- Proven track record of building 0โ1 systems and shipping production code
- Experience with distributed systems and scalable APIs
- Strong fundamentals in TypeScript (nice-to-have), Python, or similar
- CS degree required
- Clear communicator, able to work cross-functionally

Compensation & Logistics
- Salary: $200,000 โ $300,000
- Competitive equity (meaningful for early hires)
