Job Description
On behalf of our client, a high-growth stealth startup, we are seeking a Founding Engineer to help build a generalized algorithm to solve all software bugs. When production crashes, their system DMs the responsible engineer within minutes, explaining exactly what, where, when, and how things broke—without them ever writing a prompt.
The company is solving the "N-th Degree Needle In A Haystack Problem" by combining automated telemetry search with root-cause validation. Backed by Khosla Ventures, Max Levchin, and South Park Commons, the founding team comes from xAI, OpenAI, Affirm, and Berkeley EECS .
The Role
- Build Reasoning Systems: Develop multi-agent AI that uses real telemetry to produce correct root cause analyses.
- Solve the Unseen: Tackle problems no one has seen before, such as fully automating error analysis.
- Infrastructure & Tooling: Set up telemetry pipelines and build automatic instrumentation to track code behavior across logs, traces, and deploys.
- Full Ownership: You will not be limited to one stack; you will tackle infra, full-stack, and support as the company grows.

Compensation & Perks
- Salary: $250,000 – $400,000.
- Equity: 0.25% – 2.0%.
- Location: Fully in-person in San Francisco, CA.
- Relocation: Fully covered (flights, temporary housing, and $10,000 for expenses).
- Benefits: 100% medical/vision/dental coverage, unlimited PTO, and 401k.
