Job Description


Global B2B Agency | UK (Remote / Hybrid) | SLT Role


Most agencies are still figuring out how technology and AI fit into marketing.


This one has decided it’s central to growth, and is building around it.


We’re partnering with a fast-growing, globally connected B2B agency to appoint a Head of Marketing Technology & AI. This is a senior leadership role, operating at SLT level, with a clear mandate to build, lead, and scale a new capability across the business.


This isn’t about running engineering teams or building complex platforms. It’s about defining how Martech, CRM, AI, and digital experience come together to drive client growth and commercial impact.


You’ll be setting the vision, building the team, and leading how technology and AI are applied across strategy, campaigns, and revenue generation.



The Opportunity:


  • UK-wide role, fully remote or hybrid, with access to office space if preferred
  • Global remit, working closely with teams across the UK and US
  • Reporting into the Managing Director, UK/EMEA, and operating at senior leadership level
  • A genuine build role, creating and scaling a new Marketing Technology & AI function from the ground up
  • Direct responsibility for driving agency and client growth through technology and AI-led services



The Role:


You’ll sit at the intersection of consulting, strategy, and commercial growth, working closely with Consultancy, Strategy, Creative, and Media teams to embed technology and AI into everything the agency delivers.


  • Define and lead the agency’s Marketing Technology & AI strategy
  • Build and scale a new department, hiring and leading a high-performing team
  • Design connected ecosystems across websites, CRM, Martech, automation, and data to drive lead generation and performance
  • Advise clients on how to apply AI and Martech to accelerate growth, improve efficiency, and unlock new opportunities
  • Play a key role in new business and revenue generation, shaping propositions and supporting pitches
  • Embed technology and AI into client programmes, from strategy through to execution
  • Set direction on platforms, including CRM, marketing automation, ABM, CMS, and data environments
  • Lead innovation across AI, personalisation, automation, and analytics
  • Act as the senior voice of technology and AI across the agency and with clients

What You’ll Bring:


This is a commercially-led leadership role, not a pure technical position.


  • Strong experience in Martech, digital, or AI-led marketing environments, ideally within an agency or working with technology clients
  • Proven ability to design and deliver lead generation-focused digital ecosystems, not just build platforms
  • Deep understanding of CRM, marketing automation, ABM, CMS, and how they connect to drive performance
  • Experience applying AI within marketing, content, and digital experience, with a clear view on practical use cases
  • A commercial mindset, with experience contributing to or owning revenue growth
  • Confidence in client-facing environments, able to guide, advise, and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience building or leading teams, with the ability to hire and develop specialist talent around you
  • Comfortable operating at leadership level, both internally and externally

  • Commercially sharp, you understand how technology drives revenue, not just capability
  • Strategic in thinking, but comfortable getting hands-on where needed
  • Able to simplify complexity and bring clarity to clients and teams
  • Confident in representing a business externally, from client rooms to industry stages
  • Collaborative, open, and credible, someone people trust quickly
  • Motivated by building something meaningful, not inheriting a finished structure
