Role Description

Our client is one of Canada's fastest-growing fintech platforms, transforming how consumers pay, save, and earn rewards. Founded in 2021, the company has scaled to over $100M USD in annual transaction volume and 200,000+ users across North America, supported by a proprietary, fully in-house technology stack. The platform partners with 500+ leading brands and recently expanded into the US market, with teams in Etobicoke, ON and San Jose, CA. The company is targeting 4x year-over-year GMV growth and is actively building out its financial product suite.

We are recruiting a Senior Product Manager, Growth & Consumer App on behalf of our client. This is a high-ownership growth role responsible for the company's end-to-end growth engine — from user acquisition and referral mechanics to offer discovery, conversion optimization, and membership monetization. You will define and execute product-led growth strategies that drive GMV, activation, and retention across a North American marketplace serving 200,000+ users and 500+ brand partners. The ideal candidate has deep growth product experience in a consumer marketplace context, with a benchmark background similar to Pinduoduo, Meituan, or Taobao/Tmall.

Key Responsibilities

Own the user acquisition and referral growth strategy — including onboarding optimization, referral programs, viral sharing mechanics, gifting use cases, and cashback-led incentive campaigns.

Lead the end-to-end shopping journey across cashback offers and local merchant discovery: search experience, offer and merchant listing pages, personalized ranking, and nearby merchant features.

Continuously optimize how offers are surfaced and displayed to improve conversion from discovery to gift card purchase and in-store spend.

Design and optimize membership and loyalty programs — tier structure, cashback multipliers, exclusive member offers, missions, and spend challenges to increase engagement, purchase frequency, and ARPU.

Own retention and lifecycle engagement: leverage AI and automation to drive repeat purchase, including automated marketing triggers, personalized offer recommendations, and AI-assisted customer support.

Set and track growth metrics (GMV, CAC, LTV, retention); run data-driven experiments and translate results into scalable product improvements.

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and operations to execute growth initiatives end-to-end.

Requirements

3–6 years of Product Management experience with a focus on growth in consumer platforms or marketplace businesses.

Proven track record of driving GMV growth, transaction volume, and funnel conversion improvement through product-led initiatives.

Hands-on experience owning growth systems: onboarding optimization, referral and viral growth loops, conversion funnel analysis, and A/B testing.

Experience with local commerce platforms, merchant service marketplaces, or e-commerce ecosystems is strongly preferred.

Background in personalized recommendation, ranking, and offer merchandising to improve discovery and purchase conversion.

Strong analytical mindset; comfortable owning business metrics and running data-driven experiments.

High ownership mentality — able to operate independently in fast-paced startup environments and deliver measurable commercial impact.

Mandarin proficiency preferred; candidates with experience at companies such as Pinduoduo, Meituan, Taobao, Tmall, or similar platforms are strongly encouraged to apply.
