Senior Software Developer

BlueMapleIT, LLC has an opening for the position of Software Developer (Ref# SD318ST).

Work Location: Charlotte, NC and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.

Job Duties: Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and support applications software, including web-based applications and major enhancements of existing systems, for client projects. Participate in all aspects of Agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment. Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale. Collaborate with designers, front-end engineers, and back-end engineers to create reliable APIs and microservices. Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distributed solutions. Actively participate in refinement sessions, offering key insights on both the current application behavior and technical feasibility to help shape user stories and improve system functionality. Develop new features and infrastructure in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements. Assume leadership of new projects from conceptualization to deployment. Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale and maintain high standards for code quality and application design. Work with Agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices and pursuing continued learning opportunities. Provide ongoing support during sprints, working with team members on story requirements, troubleshooting technical challenges, and resolving environment and deployment-related issues. Deliver application enhancements while ensuring smooth coordination with offshore development teams. Resolve high-priority defects and lead deployment processes in the OpenShift container platform, ensuring system reliability and uptime. Use of Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Microservices, Angular, React, JavaScript, GraphiQL, Apache Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cucumber, Drools, GitHub, SQL, and Oracle.

Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Software Engineer or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with Agile, Microservices, Java, Spring Boot, OpenShift, and Oracle. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
