ABOUT BEATS AS ONE

Beats As One is a global platform built around the power of collective rhythm to combat the loneliness epidemic. Our founder and lead facilitator Doug Manuel -- BBC-trained documentary filmmaker, keynote speaker with 25+ years of experience -- has reached over 1,000,000 participants across 1,000+ organizations in 20+ countries, from Fortune 500 companies and Harvard to TED Global and Oprah Winfrey.

We are currently producing a feature documentary (directed by 2x Emmy Award winner Jet Kaiser, co-produced with 1895 Films), preparing a live cinematic experience premiering in Miami in 2027, and building a digital presence that matches the ambition of the project.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a creative, autonomous, and digitally sharp individual to take full ownership of Doug Manuel's social media presence and content output.

Your job: turn what Doug experiences and creates in the field -- keynotes in Tokyo, drumming sessions in West Africa, performances for 2,400 people -- into content that captures attention, builds community, and grows an audience.

You will brief Doug on what to film, how, and why. You will create the content strategy, execute it, analyze what works, and iterate. For technical workflows and publishing automation, you will be supported by a dedicated automation specialist -- so you can focus entirely on creative output.

This is not a community management role. It is a creative direction role for someone who wants to build something from the ground up.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the editorial calendar across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Direct Doug's self-filming: clear, actionable briefs he can execute with a smartphone in any location
  • Produce viral content: Reels, short-form video, carousels, visuals, hooks, captions
  • Adapt tone and format by platform -- thought leadership on LinkedIn, cultural storytelling on Instagram, short-form on TikTok
  • Monitor performance, identify what grows the audience, and adjust accordingly
  • Maintain visual identity consistency across all channels
  • Contribute occasionally to investor materials, pitch decks, and partner communications


TOOLS YOU WILL USE

  • Creative: Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator -- or CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Canva, Figma
  • AI Creative: Runway AI, LTX Studio, TwelveLabs, Midjourney, Sora -- you use AI as a production tool, not a shortcut
  • Platforms: Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Meta Business Suite
  • Marketing: SEO basics, content analytics, organic growth strategy


WHO YOU ARE

  • You have a strong creative eye and understand what makes content stop a scroll
  • You are autonomous -- you show up with ideas and a plan, not questions
  • You are rigorous about deadlines and editorial consistency
  • You are genuinely curious about AI creative tools and eager to use them as part of your workflow
  • You are fluent in English (French is a plus, but not required)
  • You have built or grown at least one social media account, profile, or brand presence -- show us
  • Interest in music, culture, documentary film, or social impact is a real advantage
